Becoming a Player on Indaband

A Player on Indaband is someone who actively uses the platform's practice features to improve their skills and participate in musical sessions.

Getting Started

To become a Player on Indaband, follow these steps:

1. Explore the Feed:
   • Begin by exploring the main feed to find sessions that match your musical interests. Check out the "For You," "Trending," and "Recommended" playlists for inspiration.
2. Follow Users:
   • Follow musicians whose work you admire by clicking on their profile and hitting the "Follow" button. This will keep you updated on their activities and new sessions.

Using Player Features

To access the player features, open a session and click on the practice booth icon (a lightning bolt) located on the right side of the screen, in the upper half. This will enable you to use various tools designed to enhance your practice and performance skills.

1. Practice Booth:
   • Visualize Lyrics and Chords: Use the practice booth to display lyrics and chords, making it easier to follow along and practice.
   • Adjust Instrument Volumes: Individually adjust the volumes of different instruments to create the perfect practice environment.
   • Create Loops: Set specific sections of the track to repeat, allowing you to focus on and master difficult parts of the song.
   • Synchronize with Metronome: Practice with a metronome to improve your timing and rhythm.
2. Participate in Sessions:
   • Join existing sessions by forking them. Click on a session you like, and then tap the plus icon to add your own track. This is a great way to collaborate with other musicians.

Player Streaks

On Indaband, players are rewarded with a Player Streak seal (a lightning bolt icon) for consistent practice in the Practice Booth. Every time you practice for at least 20 minutes within a week, you earn a streak, and the lightning bolt badge is added to your profile. The more weeks you maintain this streak, the higher your seal level becomes, showcasing your commitment to improving your musical skills.

Future Steps
